Thick brush, tangled woods, and overgrown acres don’t just make your property look neglected—they limit how you can use your land. Trails disappear. Space gets wasted. And clearing it by hand feels impossible. That’s where Buckeye Land Services comes in.
We now provide high-power forestry mulching, the fastest and cleanest way to reclaim your land without damaging the soil. Our equipment pulverizes brush, vines, saplings, and undergrowth on the spot, turning it into nutrient-rich mulch that improves your soil while leaving your property clean, open, and instantly usable. No burning. No piles. No hauling. Just transformation.
Whether you’re carving out new trails, expanding your yard, prepping for a future build, or finally taking back acreage that’s been untouched for years, our team delivers professional, efficient clearing that dramatically improves visibility, access, and property value. The difference is night-and-day—and most projects are completed in a single day.
Serving landowners across the Miami Valley, we bring the right equipment, the right technique, and the local expertise to make your land work for you again.

❄️ Hit the Trails This Weekend
The beloved 60th Annual Hocking Hills Winter Hike is set for Saturday, January 17, and Ohio outdoors lovers are invited to join the six-mile trek through snow-kissed woods and frozen waterfalls at Hocking Hills State Park. The adventure kicks off between 9 AM and 11 AM at the park’s Visitor Center and winds from Old Man’s Cave to Ash Cave, with scenic stops at Cedar and Lower Falls along the way. Mid-hike bean soup and cornbread await courtesy of the Kiwanis Club, and hot chocolate and doughnuts will greet finishers at Ash Cave. This year’s hike is part of the America 250 celebration, joining events across 2026 to honor 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
🏡 Historic Wright Home Gets New Recognition
Hawthorn Hill, the stately Oakwood mansion built by Orville Wright and home to the famous aviation family, has been recognized with a new historical marker celebrating its place in Dayton’s story and American innovation. The bronze and granite marker near the property honors the house’s history, from its 1914 completion to its status today as part of Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park and a site open for public tours. Local organizations including the Oakwood Historical Society and Rotary Club helped bring the marker project to life, reinforcing community pride.
🚌 Learn to Ride with RTA
The Greater Dayton RTA is offering hands-on “How-to-Ride” classes at Wright Stop Plaza for new and returning riders. Classes cover everything from using Tapp Pay, planning trips with the Transit app or Google, and letting drivers know when you’re ready to exit. The sessions are held the first Tuesday of every month from 11 AM to noon, and advance registration is required due to limited seating. Participants can enter through the side concourse door near the parking lot, and a transit ambassador will help guide them. It’s a great way for Dayton neighbors to gain confidence navigating the city’s public transit system.

A Warm Spot in Hard Times: Dayton’s Ronald McDonald House Needs Your Help

Ronald McDonald House Charities Dayton is kicking off the new year with a heartfelt call to the community to help restock essentials for families staying at its Valley Street home while their children receive medical care. The organization, which offers a “home away from home” with meals, snacks, toiletries, and comfort items at no cost, relies on donated wish-list items like cleaning supplies, paper goods, kids’ snacks, hats and gloves to make sure families feel supported. Staff say supplies often run low after the holidays and colder weather means longer stays for many families from around Ohio and beyond. Local neighbors can donate items year-round or organize drives to help keep the pantry and shelves full for guests.

Airmen Bring 42 Years of Holiday Smiles to Dayton Kids

For more than four decades, the 87th Aerial Port Squadron has brightened the holidays for patients at Dayton Children’s Hospital. Each December, the Airmen visit rooms throughout the hospital, delivering gifts and spreading cheer to children and their families. Over the years, the tradition has expanded, with hundreds of gifts donated to young patients, ensuring no child feels alone during the holiday season. Charlie Doodle is a 9-month-old standard poodle mix who found his way into Charla Parker’s Riverside home at just the right moment. While preparing for retirement, Charla spotted him on Facebook and knew she had to meet him, arriving an hour early to a PetSmart adoption event to make sure she did not miss her chance. Charlie was rescued alongside his brother and sister, all of whom were adopted that same day, making it a day full of fresh starts. Five months later, it is clear this little rescue has settled right where he belongs.
Charlie’s goofy charm shines in everyday moments, especially when his long legs slip out from under him like a baby giraffe learning to stand. He adores every toy he owns, though nothing beats the simple joy of carrying a trusty stick. Still learning the ropes and taking it one step at a time, Charlie has already filled the home with laughter and love. Since Charlie arrived, his presence has brought extra energy and happiness to the whole household, including his brother Elvis, proving that sometimes one rescue can lift everyone’s spirits. 🐶
