Dayton Children’s is making it much easier for families in our neighboring communities to see specialists without the long drive. New pediatric clinics are expanding in Urbana and Springfield, bringing expert care for everything from cardiology to orthopedics closer to home. It is wonderful news for local parents who can now spend less time on the road and more time focusing on their kids' health.
A Heartwarming Salute to Our Local Heroes
It was a day full of bright smiles and heartfelt gratitude at the Dayton VA Medical Center as members of the American Legion stopped by for a very special visit. In honor of National Salute to Veteran Patients Week, these dedicated volunteers spent quality time connecting with inpatients and sharing stories of service. Each veteran was gifted a $35 gift card as a small token of our community’s immense appreciation for their sacrifices. Medical Center Director Jennifer DeFrancesco, who leads the local VA's mission to provide world-class care, joined the group to personally thank these heroes for everything they've done. It is so heartening to see our Dayton neighbors come together to ensure our veterans know exactly how much they are loved and valued.
