Heads Up, Neighbors: Downtown Drills & Jets in the Sky This Week
A planned public safety training drill will take place in downtown Dayton on Wednesday, March 5, with activity expected in the morning and early afternoon hours. Residents may see emergency vehicles and personnel as part of a realistic preparedness exercise — officials stress there is no danger to the public.
In addition, people across the Dayton area could hear and see fighter jets flying overhead throughout the week, as part of scheduled military training operations. The flights may happen at various times during the day, so if you hear louder-than-usual aircraft, it’s all part of routine training to keep teams ready and prepared.
