Advantage Plumbing Heating & Air

Good morning, Dayton!

Here’s Your Daily Dose of Dayton
Did you know…the Dayton Dragons hold the all-time record for the longest sell-out streak in professional sports history? Since the year 2000, they have sold out every single home game (beating the records of every MLB, NBA, and NFL team).

Inside Today’s Edition…

  • Wright State students dive into hands-on genetics research, contributing to real-world science.

  • Montgomery County Easter egg hunt set for April 5, fun for all ages.

  • Flyers softball and baseball teams thrill fans with last-minute walk-off victories.

Angelina came home from a three day family trip to find sewage rising out of her basement into her shower and toilet. Four to five inches of it.

She called Advantage Plumbing Heating & Air. Dustin and Ramsey showed up, diagnosed the problem, snaked the drain and the foundation line, and walked her through everything they were doing step by step. She now requests those two technicians by name every time she calls.

That's who you're dealing with.

Right now Advantage is offering $89 drain clearing with a one year guarantee. Every job includes a free camera inspection of your pipes so you know exactly what you're dealing with. If they find something, you get an honest estimate. No pressure, no obligation.

A slow drain won't fix itself. The longer you wait, the worse it gets.

🧬 Hands-On Science, Real Impact
Wright State students are stepping into the lab and into real-world research through a new genetics course at Wright State University. Instead of traditional lectures, students are actively working on genetic sequencing projects that contribute to ongoing scientific research. Faculty say the goal is to better prepare students for careers in science and medicine by giving them meaningful, hands-on experience. It is learning that goes beyond the classroom and into real discovery.

💡 Funding Boost for Local Innovators
Dayton-area small businesses could soon benefit as federal innovation grants move toward a return after expiring in 2025. Lawmakers passed the Small Business Innovation and Economic Security Act, which would revive programs that have historically brought millions into the region, including more than $89 million in one year. Local leaders, including those at The Entrepreneurs Center, say Dayton companies have continued securing a significant share of funding, even bringing in more than $61 million during the lapse in 2025.

Lending a Hand for Those Who Served

Dayton’s Disabled American Veterans chapter is inviting the community to take part in Community Impact Day on April 4, focused on supporting local veterans in meaningful ways. Volunteers will assist with yard work, home cleanups, and small repairs for veterans who may be older or facing physical challenges that make these tasks difficult. The organization has long provided support and advocacy for disabled veterans and their families, helping ensure they are treated with dignity and care. This event offers a simple but powerful way for neighbors to give back and stand alongside those who have served. It is a reminder of how small acts of service can come together to make a lasting impact across the Dayton community.
