Good evening, Dayton!

Here’s Your Daily Dose of Dayton
Did you know…the Dayton Triangles were one of the original charter members of the NFL? They played in the very first professional football game against the Columbus Panhandles in 1920.

Top Stories from Around the Gem City:

  • A 157-year farm celebration, live music battles, and a rare bobcat sighting shake up the week.

  • Local bakeries, nonprofits, and foundations step up to support Dayton families in need.

  • Weekend events, open mics, and a heart-stealing Pet of the Week round it all out.

Thick brush, tangled woods, and overgrown acres don’t just make your property look neglected—they limit how you can use your land. Trails disappear. Space gets wasted. And clearing it by hand feels impossible. That’s where Buckeye Land Services comes in.

We now provide high-power forestry mulching, the fastest and cleanest way to reclaim your land without damaging the soil. Our equipment pulverizes brush, vines, saplings, and undergrowth on the spot, turning it into nutrient-rich mulch that improves your soil while leaving your property clean, open, and instantly usable. No burning. No piles. No hauling. Just transformation.

Whether you’re carving out new trails, expanding your yard, prepping for a future build, or finally taking back acreage that’s been untouched for years, our team delivers professional, efficient clearing that dramatically improves visibility, access, and property value. The difference is night-and-day—and most projects are completed in a single day.

Serving landowners across the Miami Valley, we bring the right equipment, the right technique, and the local expertise to make your land work for you again.

When Sarah Long of Kettering brought 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘆 home as an eight-week-old American Bully, she didn’t just gain a puppy—she found a missing piece of her heart. After losing her blue pit, Leo, Sarah wasn’t sure she’d ever feel that kind of connection again. But when her sister’s dog had a surprise litter, fate stepped in. One look at Chucky, one of the two biggest pups who looked so much like Leo, and Sarah knew he was meant to be hers. From that day on, his gentle, goofy spirit has been mending her heart in ways she never imagined.

Now all grown up, Chucky is equal parts gentle soul and goofball. He’s happiest lounging in cozy hoodies, climbing anything he can (from wood piles to lawn chairs) and making sure his big sister Fiona gets plenty of love first. He’s often found perched on the woodpile or sitting at Sarah’s vanity like he’s waiting for his turn in the mirror. True to his funny, sleepy nature, Chucky is not exactly a morning dog; he sighs dramatically whenever Sarah tries to get up too early. And when he’s not snuggled beside her, you’ll spot him at the racetrack with her brother and dad—his favorite hangout and proof that wherever family gathers, Chucky’s right there in the middle of it. 💚
